Seb
is very much his father's son! Boundless energy and a love
of the show ring made him great fun to show. He was a big
winner as a puppy and really hit the heights at 13 months
with a breed club BIS followed closely by the Dog CC at
Leeds from top American judge Richard Beauchamp. After a
break to allow him to mature a little, at his first show
back he took the Reserve CC under Robert Forsythe.
Circumstances then conspired against him, keeping me from
showing him for two years. I was eventually able to bring
him back out again when Ch Ashgate Able Seaman (who I handled)
retired, and although Seb was always placed in the first
three in the open dog class, I never managed to complete
his title which I always felt he so richly deserved.
He has however proved himself to be an excellent sire of
top quality boxers, including Can/Am Ch Dorfhaus Spyker
Rupik SOM. Bred to my Filmore daughters, he has helped to
cement the strengths inherited from his sire.
Now aged 9 ½, he recently had to be neutered because of
a testicle tumour but I hope he will be around for a long
time yet as the elder statesman at Rupik.
