I first saw Leo walking sedately
beside Jennifer Killman in her wheel chair. We were at the national
in the parking lot with dogs, motor homes and people. I just stopped
and stared. I all ready had my Leo son Barclay, CH
Glennroe Cosmic All Star. I took every opportunity that week to
see Leo. He stood out where ever he was. The consummate show dog; but
more importantly to me the consummate companion.
That week Barclay's first
litter was conceived. Out of that litter came my first two homebred
champions. Both BOB winners, one a national futurity Best 9-12. A couple
of years latter my second litter and two more homebred champions. One
of those AM/CAN
Ch Trifecta's Touch Gold, Derby, a multiple BISS, multiple Group
Ones, and two time Top Twenty contender. The other Lola, Ch Trifecta's
Winning Colors finished completely owner handled. To date Barclay has
five champions, two more only needing a major.
The strength of Leo's personality
lives in all his children and grand children. Through out most the temperament
is so strong. Trustworthy, confident and silly. Leo loved his toys.
Barclay is nine now, but still carries a toy with him most of the time.
Grandson, Derby has a quacking Duck that drives us all crazy.
Leo's ability to stamp his
get with his great qualities will be historical. Further his get carry
the same ability. The mark of a truly great producer. A presence where
ever they go. Show dogs when necessary, companions always, clowns and
playing all their lives.
